About the customer

Hailing from the heart of Switzerland, our client is driven by a singular purpose: to illuminate the vibrant offerings of neighborhood shops that may otherwise go unnoticed. Acting as a conduit between local businesses and discerning consumers, our client provides a platform where small shop owners can showcase their sale products.

By offering an accessible online platform, our client empowers local businesses to reach more potential customers in their vicinity, while giving individuals a simple, easy way to discover great deals right in their neighborhood. This initiative not only bolsters local economies but also fosters a sense of community, as it brings together local vendors and residents in a shared digital marketplace.

Approach

Our software development process began with a design thinking approach, where we engaged with small business owners and local shoppers to deeply understand their challenges and aspirations. By empathizing with their needs, we gathered valuable insights that served as the foundation for our Agile Scrum approach.

Using the user stories derived from our research, we embarked on an iterative development journey. We broke down the work into manageable sprints, allowing us to focus on priority features. Our initial focus was on creating a web portal and mobile applications, which formed the core components of the software.

At the end of each sprint, we conducted regular review and feedback sessions. This allowed us to align our development efforts with the needs and expectations of the users. By incorporating their input, we ensured that the software would be user-friendly and cater to the requirements of both local businesses and the community.

Throughout the development process, our overarching goal was to create a platform that facilitated the connection between local businesses and their customers. We remained committed to embodying the insights gained from our Design Thinking Phase, ensuring that the final product truly addressed the identified challenges and aspirations.

The Agile Scrum methodology played a crucial role in our approach, as it provided us with the flexibility and responsiveness needed to adapt to changes. This allowed us to deliver a software solution that effectively served its intended end users - the local shops and their customers.

By combining design thinking, Agile Scrum, and continuous feedback loops, we successfully developed a software product that fulfilled the needs of both small businesses and local shoppers, enabling seamless interactions and fostering community growth.

How we started

1. Empathizing and Gathering Insights

We began by empathizing with the target audience, seeking insights from experts and stakeholders to understand their problems and needs accurately.

2. Defining Core Problems and Customer Needs

With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by small businesses, we proceeded to define the core problems and customer needs in a human-focused manner. This step ensured that our solutions would directly address the concerns of the audience we aimed to serve.

3. Ideation for Innovative Solutions

In the ideation phase, we fostered brainstorming sessions to generate a multitude of ideas and potential solutions. By encouraging creativity and embracing seemingly unconventional ideas, we aimed to uncover unique and innovative approaches to tackle the identified problems.

What we built

A digital bridge that connects local shops to their potential customers, facilitating a faster, more efficient way to shop local, save money, and explore the diversity of their local retail landscape.

Web-Portal & Mobile App

We built an all-encompassing web portal and accompanying mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. This digital suite serves as a vibrant marketplace, where local businesses can upload and highlight their latest promotions or sale items. On the flip side, the platform empowers consumers by giving them quick access to these special deals right at their fingertips.

Our solution is designed to make finding great deals a breeze. It even introduces users to stores and boutiques they may not have discovered otherwise.
